For World Humanitarian Day, we helped the UN galvanize the global public to call for the protection of civilians in conflict zones. To do it, we invented a new kind of petition – one that puts concerned citizens face-to-face with world leaders at the UN General Assembly.
Instead of written signatures, people signed the petition with the most unique feature they have - their faces – by submitting selfies on social media. Those selfies were added to a digital sculpture at the UN Headquarters in New York, where they confronted world leaders directly.
